What is a Tele Visit?

Adults and children 5 years and older can video chat with a doctor while at home, work, or on the go. This service is for patients needing routine care as well as for minor medical conditions, and not for emergencies. For emergencies, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency care location.

What We Can Treat with Tele (Video) Visits

With virtual video visits doctors can treat a variety of minor complaints as well as routine checkups. Some common conditions we treat are:

What We Cannot Treat with Video Visits

Certain serious conditions would require an in-person visit and cannot be treated through video visits. Such conditions such as:

  • complications of cancer treatment
  • congestive heart failure
  • coughing up blood
  • drug overdose
  • fractures
  • acute vision changes
  • behavioral and mental health issues
  • palpitations
  • genital complaints
  • hemorrhage
  • large cuts or lacerations
  • mental status changes
  • pregnancy complications
  • psychiatric disorders
  • respiratory distress
  • chronic pain
  • chest pain or palpitations
  • stroke-like symptoms, such as sudden-onset weakness, numbness, or tingling
  • seizure
  • and other serious conditions….

What to Expect During a Video Visit

  • Receive an interview, diagnosis & treatment
  • Receive an after-visit summary containing a care plan
  • Have prescriptions sent to the pharmacy of your choice

Pricing and Payment

Most insurances cover Tele (Video) visit services. Usual co-payments and deductibles apply.

If you are uninsured, we offer a flat rate of $99 for new patients and $59 for existing patients.

Steps in a Tele (video) visit

  1. Call us at (631) 772-4646. We will schedule your visit
  2. Have a computer or device with camera/microphone
  3. At  visit time, we will send you a link via text or e-mail to connect. Click the link to open 
  4. Type in your name and click check-in
  5. Allow your browser to use webcam and microphone
  6. Your care provider will start your visit
